Parkour has helped me in more ways that I could have imagined. Although being able to post on Instagram what seems like a cool party trick gives me a small ego boost (who doesn't like it?), the psychological ways parkour has helped me physically and emotionally is something that amazes me to a much greater extent. Since I started doing parkour on a very casual note in June 2018, I have found that my life has improved in ways that I wouldn't have been able to come up with prior to that. As a stereotypical teenager, there was just too much pent up energy in me that kept me reserved and prevented me from expressing myself as much as I like. I've found that Parkour has helped me do just that, although it worsened it in the beginning as I sucked and was very uncoordinated. Although there was this initial hump, as well as having had multiple injuries that screwed with me mentally for as long as a week at one point, I do not regret having cultivated an interest in Parkour. Now, parkour is my go to hobby when I do not have other obligations to tend to.
